Buy or D.I.Y?

We are all busy people right? Try as we may and try as we might we just cannot make every single thing from scratch. We know it’s usually healthier and it usually costs less money, but how do we prioritize which things to make at home and which things to buy from the store?

To answer this question I started analyzing different products using these three factors

Buy or DIY

You need to prioritize. The first thing on my list is health. No matter what the cost or time it takes, health is my first priority. Next up is cost, at this point in my life I have more time than money so I need to budget appropriately. If making something from scratch saves me money but takes a few extra minutes of my day that is something I can live with. Other people may feel differently, if you are at a point in life where you can afford to pay someone else to basically do the prep work for you that is awesome! Can’t wait to be right there with you someday, but until then….

Love this! I agree with how you prioritize if it’s worth it. Right now in my life, I have the time, so to save money, I almost always DIY!

Thanks BreAnna! It is all about prioritizing- no one has unlimited time and money (except like Kim Kardashian) so you have to decide whether you are going to spend a few hours in the kitchen on Sunday, or pay up to buy healthy food that’s more convenient.
