Happy rainy Wednesday, folks! The weather here has changed like seven times today and its currently down pouring.
Breakfast started off with a delicious yogurt bowl on the couch.
This had banana, apple, chia seeds, granola, and slivered almonds. I love yogurt bowls. My mom’s homemade yogurt is absolutely the best I’ve ever had. Store bought yogurt just doesn’t cut it for me anymore.
Lunch was half a Tomato, Basil, Mozzarella sandwich from Cosi, lemonade, and a green salad topped with cucumber and carrots.
The medication I am taking for this allergic reaction/rash/devil parasite makes me so drowsy and loopy I can’t go to work, I can’t drive, I can hardly put a sentence together without drooling.
So my mom brought me some lunch and a new prescription the doctor ordered that (fingers crossed) should make this thing go away. A TBM from Cosi is exactly what I needed today. Their bread is so delicious and they bake it fresh in the store right in front of you.
Before I started cooking dinner I had a little snicky snack of sugar snap peas & baby carrots.
The point of this snack was to keep me from sticking my hand into the box of thin mints in our cabinet… it didn’t work. I ate two thin mints while I was waiting for Ryan to get out of the shower so we could eat. Dang it.
Dinner was a delicious pasta dish that I ate on top of a pile of arugula, Ryan skipped the arugula- trust me, the peas were enough of a stretch for him.
After dinner I needed something sweet so in another attempt to avoid the cookies I had a bowl of pineapple & strawberries.
Did you read my Goals post from this afternoon? Well if you didn’t, go do that now! If you did, you know I am trying to get at least 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of vegetables in per day. So how did I do?
I used the CDC’s guide to what counts as a cup to gauge how I did
1 apple + 1 banana
1 cup pineapple + strawberries
total: 3 cups
1 cup mixed baby greens, sprinkling of cucumber & carrots
1/2 cup sugar snap peas + 1/4 cup baby carrots
3/4 cup arugula + 1/2 cup of peas
total: 3 cups
Goal met! Now the exercise is another story- the medicine is making me so loopy there’s not a chance in hell I could work out right now. Speaking of…. it’s time for another dose which means I’m going to sleep for the next 12 hours.
